San Marino High School is thrilled to announce its 2nd Division B and C Invitational! The tournament will be hosted in-person at San Marino High School.



Date: Saturday, February 12, 2022

Cost: $185 per team

Divisions: B/C

Level: State Level Competition

Location*: San Marino High School

Limit**: 15 Teams per division, 2 teams per school

Each school may register up to two teams. Payment will be requested once the registration is approved. Teams may be asked to provide volunteers to help supervise event(s).

*The competition is currently set to be an in person, traditional tournament. However, we may move to a Satellite SO format (team members meet at their own schools to take tests online, and build events are proctored on Zoom) depending on the COVID-19 situation as the date nears.

** Approval from our school district is required for complete registration of teams.

COVID-19 Precautions

We are dedicated to protecting the safety of our attendees during the ongoing pandemic. As a result, ​all attendees will be asked to follow these guidelines:

  • Through a Google form, show proof of COVID-19 vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test taken within 3 days of the event. These may be checked against an ID.

  • All people on campus will be required to wear a face mask at all times indoors. Masks are recommended in outdoor areas for vaccinated people and required for all unvaccinated people. Proper masking includes covering the nose and the mouth.

  • Face masks may be removed when eating or drinking but must be put on immediately afterward.

Here are a few ways we are working to prevent the spread of COVID-19:​

  • All classroom and gym doors will remain open for ventilation unless there is loud noise outside (sounds of music) or if the event may be affected by airflow (flight events).

  • Less than 30 students per classroom at a time to maintain social distancing between teams.

  • Surfaces will be disinfected between event slots.

  • Hand sanitizer will be placed in each room.

These guidelines may change depending on the COVID-19 situation as the date nears.

Each participating school must provide SMUSD a General Liability Certificate of Insurance with a minimum of $1 million coverage.

Update 1/8/22: Updated event schedules for both divisions have been uploaded. The deadline for COI and payment has been extended to 1/31/22.

Update 12/6/21: Extend the deadline for registration to 12/15 and update the schedule and tournament information section.

Update 10/29/21: Payment Information, event schedule, and school map have been added to the website.


Update 10/21/21: A spreadsheet that tracks registration status of all teams has been added to the Registration section. Certificate of Insurance instructions and COVID-19 guidelines have also been added.

Update 10/03/21: Registration opens tomorrow. The cost and the date of the tournament has been confirmed. The price may decrease if more teams are interested in joining.

Update 09/26/21: We are currently working on deciding a date and cost for the invitational as it is the first time we will be holding this competition in person. We have opened up the Google form for Event Supervisors, so if you are interested in helping out by writing a test or even volunteering on the day of, feel free to fill out the form. Registration will open on October 4th.
